RECAP: Tattoodo’s London Flash Weekender
It’s not every day we launch our platform in one of the tattoo capitals of the world, so we wanted to make our (permanent) mark on London in style.
In the heart of Shoreditch, on the 22nd & 23rd of April, we opened our doors to hundreds of guests keen to get tattooed by some of the world’s most renowned tattoo artists. Londoners came from far and wide to get inked by the likes of Sophie Rose Hunter, Mario Teide, Leti Mortimer, Carlos Zucato, Matty Magee, Alexander Rufio, Laurel Cummins, Chloe Mickham, Delphin Musquet, Emily Malice and Gabriele Cardosi.
While it’s no small thing to get tattooed on a flash day, the queues around the corner of our venue proved that - in this city - spontaneity remains the spice of life!
Signature styles
Always keen to know what the latest trends in tattoo styles are, we kept a close eye on what our Londoners were requesting from artists. But if we learned one thing from the weekend, it’s that the public is a diverse and unique bunch. We saw classic themes such as animal heads and skulls in varying styles, minimalistic floral outlines, and detailed fine line works as well.
Tattooing made easy
Of course, the main reason to celebrate was the launch of our platform in the UK capital.
With an estimated 3000+ studios across the UK, employing over 10,000 tattoo artists, organizing a tattoo can be overwhelming. What Tattoodo does is allow you to narrow your search right down and, ultimately, put you in touch with your dream artist without all the usual research and legwork.
If you missed our event, don’t worry. All the artists in residence are available to book via Tattoodo, so you can connect with them easily to discuss designs, style, location and availability.
And as special treat, we offer you 30GBP towards for your next London booking. Just follow this link, sign up and with code WELCOME30 it'll be automatically added to your Tattoodo wallet.
Huge thanks go out to all our resident artists as well as Sailor Jerry and Signature Brew for providing the refreshments—and to our collaborating partners Lawless, GoHo and EdnaEdna for helping us put on such a great event. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one.
