For my first tattoo: My mother had breast cancer and on her 1 year anniversery of her remission i got this tattoo for her. Its onthe side of my ribs and left breast because that is where they found her cancer. My aunt also passed away from beast cancer 7 years before and all of her daughters got a butterfly with a cancer ribbon tattoo. This is my way of honoring them both.
