This is a direct quote before you pay the deposit of $100. What it should say is please keep in mind the deposit is non refundable ALWAYS.
You can provide the designs to them and for reasons beyond your control, like your job being threatened, you have to cancel the appointment with over a weeks notice, the deposit is ALWAYS non refundable not subject to an IF at all, there are no circumstances where they will refund your deposit.
They are beyond happy and seem to justify it in themselves to keep $100 for no work, no consult, no time spent at all on designs you provided, literally morally fine to lie about deposit rules and to keep money for no work.
